Be There is a non-profit radio that was established to “be there” for families and to advocate for a child’s right to be safe. Our aim is to give a voice to the victims of child sexual abuse and family violence to help effect change in the community. We believe that family violence in all its forms is unacceptable. We aspire to encourage others to no longer stand by and watch silently but to be there for someone in their darkest hours. Often it doesn’t take words of wisdom or knowing the solution to help someone out of despair, it only takes a spark, one person willing to be there that provides hope and courage for people to not give up when facing fear, shame and silence.
Be There radio streams 24 hours of uplifting and encouraging music, shares real life stories, current political, legal and systematic issues, and provides a platform of resources to educate, empower, and aspire familial, cultural, and systemic change.
Our Mission is to be the voice to bring change and hope to families, communities and governments. Together it is our mission and responsibility to effect change to be there to uphold a child’s right to be safe.
Our Vision is to encourage everyone to be there for someone today and to start with the person closest to them – Mother Teresa.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
Be there radio aims to uplift, encourage and inspire families to support the safety and wellbeing of children. This segment aims to offer advice, education, support and resources from child experts, the latest evidenced based family behavioural, physical and psychological strategies that will help nourish, grow and build healthy, resilient families.
